I kept doing the same thing.
I would sit down to study, work on something important, or just try to give a task my full attention. Then, almost without thinking, I’d open Instagram. Or YouTube. Or Reddit. One quick check became a few minutes, then a lot more.
It wasn’t that I didn’t care about the work. The problem was how easy it was to leave it.
I wanted something that made that moment more intentional. Not a huge productivity system. Not another app asking for my data, a subscription, or a streak to maintain. Just a small boundary between me and the websites I kept reaching for.
So I built LockInBro.
It lets you choose the sites that distract you, decide what you’re actually trying to do, and set aside a block of time for it. If you drift, it gives you a quiet reminder of the choice you made a few minutes earlier.
That’s it. It is deliberately simple, private, and local to your browser. I made it for myself first, and I hope it helps you make a little more room for what matters too.
